About Me

My name is Bill Whitacre, and I am a programmer, musician, gamer, and graphic artist.  In the articles, you will find a selection of useful information having to do with graphics programming, physics, and anything else.  Right now I don’t have many articles, but I will soon.  In the posts, you will find incoherent rantings, coherent but inaudible mumblings, inappropriate humor, stupid antics, fascinating technology and programming insights, video games, rantings about porn, rantings about politics, rantings about your face, and anything else that tickles my fancy.

Things I enjoy (other than thinking and introversion):

  1. Listening to music.  Really listening.  Just sit and feel the waves, realize it is the essence of the universe you are communing with.  The ultimate ‘word’ and ‘logos’ is a harmonic wave, and you can feel it moving, moving with you, and understanding this is like an incredible Zen type Nirvana feeling.  Listen, your mind can see it as you hear.  Then, when beset by your demons, just remember that the universe is music, and that you are immersed in song.  It’s a thought beautiful enough to save you from any abyss.
  2. Programming.  I try to think in terms of oneness in philosophy, but I love me some dissociative manipulation of logical coherent objects.  I also love video games, so that’s what I try to make.  I don’t have a full game yet, but I will.  It’s so peaceful to just get lost in the logic.
  3. Making music.  I can only play the guitar, and at a fairly mediocre level, but I don’t really care, I have fun with it, and it is an expressive art form, one I can use as an outlet for suffering, pain, and misery so I don’t have to inflict it on everybody else all the time.
  4. Gaming.  I think video games are beautiful art.  All these beautiful assets by artists come together with the final binding logic machine by a skilled artisan (artisans are artists of the real, engineers) to create the ultimate fusion of every art form, and with a kick ass fun time too.  How can anyone not love at least some part of that?  If not the game, the visuals or the sound.  All these art forms come together as I said, that’s what I like about it.  Portal and Silent Hill anyone?
  5. Drawing.  I was always good at spatial crap.  Drawing was a skill I’ve had since long ago, since I was very little.  Recently (maybe 3 or 4 years ago)  I started drawing non-technical things, and have developed a very expressive style since then.  This is all personal opinion, I’m not saying my art is great or anything.

READ THE BLOG AND DRINK DEEP OF THE WISDOM AND OR HORRIBLE GARBAGE WITHIN.

We, uh, can’t really tell which it is yet, so listen to me at your own risk.

As I update this, I must also tell the world of new happenings with me and school.  This spring I’m going back to college.  I love the idea I won’t die a jobless homeless person, and I get to go to a college and take Computer Science as a major.  This means I will not be surrounded by shallow buttfuckers who only care about worthless crap like frat parties and politics.  May they needlessly consume too much of our oxygen in a short timespan and die of oxygen poisoning.

I get to go to school with computer scientists!  Seriously!  Fucking A.  Without even finished highschool bullshit at all.  GEDs are like magic.  Now I can maybe do some real learning in a focused environment.
